Molly Jaeger-Begent, Artist

After receiving an Associates Degree from Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire Molly attended the Art Student’s League of New York in New York City.  She eventually received her BA from The University of Texas in Austin in Journalism and became the Editor & Art Director for Center Magazine, the local magazine for Bryan/College Station in Texas (the home of the Aggies) for over seven years.

Molly and her husband, David, and their 2 children moved to San Diego in the 80’s where she became the CFO of her husband’s company (David Begent Construction, aka DBC, for over 20 years) until it sold in 2009.  She is now able to pursue her dream of becoming a professional artist and owning an Art Gallery, 2Create Gallery ( www.2creategallery.com ).

Her work was in both the Del Mar Art Gallery until it closed several years ago and 2Create Gallery in Historical Downtown Ramona where it is being shown currently.

“In my mind Art is Everything.  The challenge is to put my perceptions on a canvas in a way that enables others to see and hopefully enjoy my visions.”
